Baseball Arbitration - Baseball Arbitrator

Baseball Arbitration is a type of Major League Baseball arbitration where a baseball players may elect to arbitrate their salary instead of accepting their team's salary offer. Each party to the arbitration submits a proposed player's monetary compensation proposal to the arbitrator. After a final hearing, the arbitrator will choose one proposal from the two submitted proposals without modification. There is no compromise adjustments - either the player wins or the club wins. It gives both the player and the team to the arbitration hearing an opportunity to offer a reasonable proposal to the arbitrator with the hope that his/her award will be accepted by the decision-maker (arbitrator). Baseball Arbitration or pendulum arbitration is increasingly used in commercial disputes, known as final offer arbitration in which the arbitrator chooses one of the parties' proposals on each disputed issues.
